Welcome to IELTS for UKVI Registration Page.

IELTS, the international English Language Testing System, is designed to assess the language ability of people who want to study or work where English is the language of communication. It is recognised and accepted by over 9,000 organisations worldwide, including universities, employers, professional bodies, immigration authorities and other government agencies. To find out whether you need to take an approved test, and what level you need to achieve, please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website for more information.

Those who are applying for a Tier 4 student visa to a Higher Education Institutions (HEI) to study a bachelor or postgraduate degree are required to meet the English language level set by the institution. All British universities and colleges accept IELTS results. This means you can apply with an IELTS result from any of the 1,000 IELTS test locations worldwide unless your institution has additional requirements.
